About Me

Since I can remember, I have always been moved by people—their stories, their struggles, their hopes, and the ways they make sense of their lives. Stories shape us. They can confine us, empower us, and, when held with care, they can heal us.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in urban music video production (in the late 90’s) and spent much of my life in the culinary world. In 1998, I attended the French Culinary Institute, and for many years I found deep joy in the artistry of food and the sense of connection it creates. I have found that, in my life, there is no greater intimacy than sitting around a table, talking over a delicious meal. My professional path has always centered on creativity, community, and storytelling — whether through music, food, or meaningful human conversation.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Arts from Hampton University in 1998 and my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles in 2021. I began my clinical journey at The Relational Center in Los Angeles, where I learned the true power of community and relational work. I ground my work in present-moment awareness and authentic connection, creating space for insight, choice, and growth..

Outside of my work, I am an avid reader and a mother, roles that continue to shape and deepen my understanding of people, relationships, and the many ways we grow throughout our lives.

I am capable of holding the nuance required to sit with all people, regardless of beliefs and differences. I have all walks of life in my practice and I am grateful for it. At the same time, I strongly support and advocate for those who have been silenced or marginalized, and I am deeply proud of my allyship.

My greatest joy is genuine connection with people, and now, in midlife, I feel that I have found my true calling as a therapist—a place where all of these threads come together in service of healing and growth. It is an honor to do what I do.
